Important changes are coming to XAU₮

We are pleased to announce we will be performing an upgrade to a new ERC20 contract address for Tether Gold (XAU₮) which will go live on 8/11/21 at 11:00 AM UTC.

The old contract address on our Transparency page will be updated with the new address here:

New contract address: 0x68749665FF8D2d112Fa859AA293F07A622782F38

During the contract address swap we will airdrop an equivalent amount of XAU₮ to all addresses currently holding XAU₮. After the upgrade, the deprecated contract and tokens will be paused and rendered obsolete. To avoid any complications with transfers we recommend no withdrawals and deposits of XAU₮ during this time until the upgrade is complete.

If you have any questions you can reach us via your usual contact person or email our customer support team.

Thank you for your ongoing support,

The Tether Gold Team.
