Tether Announces QVAC, Its Upcoming Development Platform for Infinite and Ubiquitous Intelligence – Deploying and Evolving AI Agents on User Devices, Not Big Tech Data Centers

14 May, 2025 – Tether, the largest company in the digital asset industry, today announced its upcoming QVAC (QuantumVerse Automatic Computer), a development platform for Infinite Intelligence, designed for humans and machines alike, that enables highly scalable AI applications and agents to run directly on local devices without dependence on centralized services, cloud infrastructure, thereby protecting users from corporate access to private user data.

Designed for a new era of personal sovereignty, QVAC enables AI models to fully run on users’ devices, eliminating the need for cloud connectivity and ensuring greater privacy, autonomy, and resilience. Its modular architecture allows developers to build and extend applications using small, composable components, while peer-to-peer networking facilitates direct device-to-device communication and collaboration without reliance on centralized servers. This unique architecture allows the QVAC ecosystem to scale to trillions of AI agents and applications, without points of failure, delivering a first-of-its-kind unstoppable Infinite Intelligence swarm. Integrated payments through WDK by Tether also allow AI agents to autonomously transact in Bitcoin and USDt, opening new possibilities for decentralized, self-sustaining AI systems.

With QVAC, developers can use a single framework to build and deploy AI inference and agents across any smartphones, laptops, mainframes, embedded systems, brain-computer interfaces, and a range of other hardware, ensuring that AI applications can function securely and independently, whether connected to a network or operating entirely offline.

Tether will also soon launch the first QVAC-based AI apps, with a strong focus on privacy preservation and self-sovereignty. Its initial applications include QVAC/Translate, which delivers fast, on-device transcription and translation of text, documents, images, and audio, without any reliance on the cloud, and QVAC/Health, a private wellness tracker that keeps sensitive health data entirely local. To accelerate innovation, Tether aims to open-source a comprehensive Software Development Kit in the following months, making it easy for developers to build, deploy, and scale their own QVAC agents across any devices.

“Artificial intelligence should empower the next wave of growth for society and humanity, not delegate even more control to corporations that own servers and access keys,” said Paolo Ardoino, CEO of Tether. “If you need an API key to use your AI, it isn’t truly yours. QVAC is built to change this dynamic, making AI local-first, private, and independent, putting users back in charge of their data, their computation, and their autonomy. With QVAC, Tether aims to create the first open and ubiquitous platform powering an unstoppable AI agent ecosystem at the service of humans and machines alike. The Era of Infinite Intelligence has just begun.”

QVAC is part of Tether’s broader vision for decentralized AI.
