Tether And Africa Blockchain Institute Collaborate To Educate Students Across Ivory Coast Universities About Blockchain Technology

9 August 2024Tether Operations Limited, the largest company in the digital asset industry, and the Africa Blockchain Institute, an organization that promotes the use of blockchain technology through education, are pleased to announce a strategic collaboration to drive blockchain education in Ivory Coast.

Through this collaboration, the Africa Blockchain Institute organized educational workshops in five universities across the Ivory Coast, including Université Félix Houphouët-Boigny, Institut National Polytechnique Félix Houphouët-Boigny, Pigier Business School, Université Alassane Ouattara, and Université d’Abobo-Adjamé. These workshops were designed to equip students with practical skills and a comprehensive understanding of blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, smart contracts, decentralized finance (DeFi), and the practical applications of blockchain across various industries. Participants also gained hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge, empowering them to apply what they learned in real-world scenarios confidently.

Furthermore, qualified participants will be engaged as ambassadors, playing a crucial role in spreading the knowledge they have gained through these workshops and creating awareness among other universities across the country. They will also provide feedback, insights, and recommendations regarding the effectiveness of the educational initiatives, emerging trends, and opportunities for improvement.

The Africa Blockchain Institute is a blockchain think tank based in Kigali, Rwanda. Its focus is on advancing blockchain education, conducting extensive research, and providing deployment solutions for digital transformation across Africa. The institute offers globally recognized training programs facilitated by industry experts and collaborates with organizations to meet their specific needs. 

This collaboration underscores Tether’s unwavering commitment to advancing digital education globally. Tether’s recent collaborations in Africa highlights this dedication, including sponsoring the Africa Tech Summit in Kenya, the African Bitcoin Conference in Ghana, collaborating with CBC during Bitcoin Pizza Day, and another strategic collaboration with Xion Global to enhance blockchain education in South Africa, as well as with Bitnob to drive education across universities in Ghana. These initiatives demonstrate Tether’s dedication to promoting blockchain and cryptocurrency education not only in Africa but also on a global scale.
